Rainbow 6
Redstorm Enterainment
Swat 2 had a good idea too, shame it
sucked:
Graphically the game is good, clear, yet
annoyingly simple. Without a 3DFX or such like card you are really missing out on it,
graphically speaking. This is one of those games that was meant for acceleration (the
exact opposite of Wargames really, which DIDNT need it.) Ok so while being nice and
functional enough you could hardly call the graphics detailed, it seems to have less
detail then Quake 2, which is pretty simple.
Unlike Quake 2 though this game doesnt
need to rely on an overdose of coloured lighting to look good, it instead relies on its
realistic game environment which is handled well enough (despite some flaws) to make you
believe. The characters are good, and obviously they have worked on them to make them seem
believable, but you cant help but notice how similar all the terrorists look. This
game also makes use of the remarkably simple (yet effective) decal feature, where upon
shooting a wall you will see a little hole appear, as in Duke Nukem 3D etc.
