Motocross Madness
Rainbow Studios/ Microsoft

Although this doesn’t really matter it can, if you are picky, cause the atmosphere to vanish a little, nevermind ehh. The biker’s too are fairly detailed as are the bikes although the animation on the biker is a bit crap. Sometimes if you fall off from a great height your alter-ego will fall to the ground like a dummy, arms and legs forward, without movement, and then he will land in a really inconvincing way (he just flips upside down, still in the same position). When it comes to effects the programmers haven’t gone nuts like the other companies have, there is only one lens flare, which comes from a dodgy looking sun. The rest is just filtering and a load of transparent smoke, which sometimes can cause slow down if there is too much of it.

All in all, despite the minor niggles the graphics are good enough, alot better than Motoracers graphics which I guess is the only rival to this.

Why do they always stick "madness" on the end?:

The gameplay is Motocross’s best point, it’s fast moving, easy yet complicated, yet it reminds alot of Monster Truck Madness when you race on the tracks. The racing on the small simple indoor tracks is fairly boring, they have almost no pull to them. The outdoor man made tracks are better but they still lack that certain something. What you want to do with this game is either the Baha section or Stunt Quarry, both are different and therefor alot of fun.
