Photorealistic, almost:

First in comes the ground textures, when the screen loads and you see what is ahead of you, you will be a bit lost for words. For the purpose of the terrain they have gone out and taken some aerial photos of desolate landscapes and then wrapped them on the 3D mesh which gives you a hilly, decent looking area in which you can tear around in. Well at least it looks nice from a distance, but just look underneath you and see what happens, hmmm, all detail is lost and it becomes one of those horrible 3D enhanced messes i.e. Turok.

Although this doesn’t really matter it can, if you are picky, cause the atmosphere to vanish a little, nevermind ehh. The biker’s too are fairly detailed as are the bikes although the animation for the biker is a bit crap. Sometimes if you fall off from a great height your alter-ego will fall to the ground like a dummy, arms and legs forward, without movement, and then he will land in a really inconvincing way (he just flips upside down, still in the same position). When it comes to effects the programmers haven’t gone nuts like the other companies have, there is only one lens flare, which comes from a dodgy looking sun. The rest is just filtering and a load of transparent smoke, which sometimes can cause slow down if there is too much of it.

All in all, despite the minor niggles the graphics are good enough, alot better than Motoracers graphics which I guess is the only rival to this.
