Monster Truck Madness 2
If at first you dont succeed:
You have to hand it to Microsoft, they wont
let it go will they. Microsoft policy reads: "own it all" and they hope to own
the gaming market the way they think they own everything else. Here is their latest
offering, the sequel to Monster Truck Madness. The plot is non-existent obviously just
like the point of the sport in real life but unlike the first game this one is actually
nice to look at and worth a look. Read and learn.
Wonders of acceleration:
Thanks to 3DFX and other such like
companies most people should be able to enjoy Monster Truck Madness as it should be. The
graphics are fairly lovely with lots of nice effects such as rain, fog, snow, headlights
(which when damaged, point the wrong way) and flying dirt. The water effect is maybe a
little to mirroe like but its nice enough and playing at night gives you a rather
cool experiance. They vehicles are nicely enough put together with working suspension and
there is body damage but all it is is slightly bent bodywork. The cars sometimes sport
unusual features ranging from a ridiculously huge spoiler to a pair of arms strapped to
the side. The tracks are nice enough with plenty of hills and changes to make it
interesting enough, and it has lots of road side objects to gawk at just before you smash
into them.
