Freespace - the Great War

However the game is too damn short, it took half a day to go through the whole campaign, and what made it worse is there isn’t anymore for the moment, meaning that’s it, one stupidly easy campaign. No matter how well set up the missions are you can’t escape the fact that there are only 36 of them (5 of them being training). It’s nice though that you don’t have to complete all of the task’s set for you, unlike X-wing. Although I would prefer to have a more open ended campaign with the success of the missions affecting the whole game. And then comes the all weird last level, it screw’s with your mind like nothing you could imagine, but i’ll save it for you to find out. The gameplay also translates into multiplayer which is very entertaining and slightly harder than the single player mode but it does seem to be a bit bugged with lots of strange errors going on every now and then, still fun though.

Sequel ready:

This game is crying out for a sequel, hopefully they will make one. Meanwhile buy this one in the wait, it’s good, nice to look at, and entertaining enough to constitute the asking price and they are releasing alot of patches to remove the bugs of network play. All in all a good game, not too original though.
