Jane's
Fleet Command - 10/10/99
by:

Graphics are useful, aren't they:

Oh no, this is a hard one, how am I supposed to deal with this one? Well the 3D engine they use is all right although everything is very basic. If the whole game could be played properly from this window then that would be one thing, but you can’t really, you need to use the map screen most of the time, and that’s not so nice. Dull is not the word for the map screen, neither is pretty, functional is about right although maybe that’s being generous.

You have your blue areas (water), your greens (land), your circles with a line stuck in it (boats of course) and that’s about it. You can choose to have a picture of one of the units instead of the circle thing but it certainly doesn’t look better off for it, so don’t be expecting to impress your friends with it.
