3Dfx Voodoo Graphics
I guess everybody knows it by now, but for
those who don't here's how to tweak your 3Dfx Voodoo Graphics card:
You can put the following lines in your
autoexec.bat to get better performance.
- SET SST_GRXCLK=XX (where XX is the speed,
default is 50, don't go beyond 58 without cooling)
XX is the speed of the chipset in MHz, with
the Monster 3D "max performance" setting the speed is set to 57 MHz, so that
could be considerd safe for most cards... Other settings which might help are:
- SET SST_FASTMEM=1
- SET SST_FASTPCIRD=1
- SET SST_PCIRD=1
- SET SST_VIDEO_24BPP=1
- SET FX_GLIDE_SWAPINTERVAL=0
- SET SST_SCREENREFRESH=60
- SET SST_SWAP_EN_WAIT_ON_VSYNC=0 (this can
cause image tearing)
