The GlobalWin CPM25602-16
The performance
The performance is the best for a heatsink
that we have tested. We tested the heatsink on a Pentium 200 overclocked to 225 with 75 *
3. The test ran in Windows 95 and with Winamp running ( Winamp really eats processor power
). We tested the temperature with the Firealarm from Gemini
Software. After running the test for one hour we could see that the temperature was 34°C.
We also tried to overclock a 6x86-p166+ to 200Mhz and it worked fine. I would say that
this is the cooler for you that are a little reluctant to buying peltier coolers.
Pro's & Con's
Pro's:
- Excellent cooling performance ( Best we have
seen )
- Suitable for all socket 7 CPUs
- Good quality, no cheap clips, good quality
fan
- Reasonable price ($20 area) if we are
considering the performance
Con's
- May not fit all motherboard/case
combinations because of its huge size
- Noisy
