The GlobalWin CPM25602-16
The GlobalWin
CPM25602-16 is a high-performance socket
7 heatsinks that can cope with the new processors like the AMD K6-233 that needs some
heavy heatsinks if you want to overclock it.
The design
The CPM25602-16 is a pin-fin heatsink with
108 pins. The pins are about 21 x 2.5 x 1.5 mm large. The entire heatsink has a size of 60
x 60 x 49 mm ( this heatsink is big! ) and comes with a 60mm, 7-bladed fan.
Apart from its huge size, there's something special about this sink: Its lower side isn't
entirely flat, but has a long nub on one side to prevent the cooler from slipping off the
CPU.
The heatsink clip is a standard metal clip, which is quite easy to install and fixed the
heatsink firmly to the CPU.
The fan
At 4500 rpm, the fan moves 20.6 CFM (cubic
feet per minute), which is two to three times as much as conventional fans. However, the
price for this high performance is that the fan isn't exactly the most silent fan
available. For increased reliability, it comes with a dual ball bearings. At 12V,
the fan has a power consumption of 2.16 W. It is manufactured by Superred.
Formerly, the fan came with a standard PS pass-through (two wires) connector and the unit
was called CPM-25602-16, now, it is being sold as CPM-25603-16 and comes with a three-wire
connector (for rpm-to motherboard feature) and includes an adaptor so that you can still
use it if your motherboard doesn't have the fan connector.
