AX5 , ATX Mainboard With SOFT MENU^TM Technology

Based on Intel's 430TX chipset, the AX5 is uniquely designed for file servers, workstations and professional users. The AX5 provides an abundant supply of main memory, IDE interface, and high performance PCI Rev. 2.1. A combination of three 168-pin DIMM and four 72-pin SIMM sockets fullfills the memory hungry requirement of high-end computing environments. The 168-pin DIMM sockets support Synchronous, FP, and EDO DRAM. The AX5 also implements SOFT MENU^TM, a leading technology that eliminates all jumpers on the mainboard that set CPU parameters. With SOFT MENU end-users are able to use software to easily and correctly install their own CPU, enabling them to upgrade to a Pentium^® processor with MMX^TM technology, AMD-K6^TM processor, or Cyrix 6x86MX^TM processor.
