QDI Legend V,
440LX, Pentium II Pentium® II Processor Based Motherboard With the emergence of multimedia and 3D graphics applications, existing PCI technology with its maximum bus speed of 33 MHz is not able to handle this high levels of data throughput. The new Legend Series uses LX chipset which incorporates the most advanced AGP (Accelerated Graphic Port) technology is used to fix PCI slot bottleneck. It has boosted the bus speed for graphics transmission by four times compared to the old PCI slot; from 33 MHz to 133MHz. That explaines why 440LX based motherboard is being described as a giant step in achieving optimal multimedia performance. The competitive edge of QDI's SpeedEasy technology is also being demonstrated in this new product line. This innovative technology will free users from the hassles of CPU settings and offer greater flexibility in CPU upgrades. The 440LX based motherboard represents greater reliability and stability. The 440LX chipset is the successor to the 440FX, and has reduced the chipset count from 3 to 2. This highly integrated technology has resulted in greater rooms for PCB design and minimization of the possibilities of external interference. Besides this, this new Legend Series pays particular attention to PC manageability. The LDCM software (LANDesk Client Manager), developed by Intel, is being included to cater for the needs of Desktop management. This LANDesk technology has for the first time fully integrated PC desktop management functions, such as diagnostics and remote control, with knowledge base and problem tracking tools. It delivers a powerful breakthrough in the effort to centrally manage and reduce the support costs of networked high-performance PCs.
