Conclusion:

The system lacks in the upgradability area. The sound is built in, meaning you're stuck with it. Don't expect any groundbreaking sound out of it. There don't seem to be any wavetable or 3D sound capabilities, but, for the average business user, who cares? The video is fine. For memory, it actually takes from 1.5 to 2.5 MB of your main system RAM and delegates it to the video. With proper software enhancements, the video isn't too bad.

So, the downsides of this combo are as follows:

  • No upgradability worth mentioning.
  • Too slow for gaming applications.

The good points:

  • Good price/ performance ratio. I would have to recommend this setup to anyone trying to build a cheap, usable system. According to Concord, the price is right around $130. Where else are you going to get a 200MHz processor, motherboard, along with sound and video equipment for only $130?
  • Stable - We never had any problems after the setup was done and that is how a good computer should be.
